Bless Their Hearts Kitty Haven is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing a loving, safe, happy and healthy home for unwanted, abandoned, homeless and abused cats,. We will never euthanize a cat due to not being able to place him/her in a loving home. They will ALWAYS have a home here at Bless Their Hearts. All of our cats and kittens will be spayed/neutered, given yearly vaccinations and physicals and medications if needed. Whatever our kitty’s need, they will get!!!
Our goal here at Bless Their Hearts Kitty Haven is to find lovi ng parents and homes for our kitty’s. Our adoption process is very detailed and our guidelines are very strict. We will visit our potential adoptive parents in their home to make sure their home is suitable for our kitty’s. We are not looking for just a home, we are looking for the perfect home. We expect our Adopter to provide a safe, loving, happy home for the rest of the kitty’s natural life. Potential parents will be counseled on the complete care of the kitty. They will sign an adoption agreement. Our Adoption page explains our guidelines along with our Adoption questionnaire and application. As you will see, our guidelines are strict. Every cat deserves the very best that we humans can give!!
 We live in a “throw-away” society. If we get tired of something or even someone, we just throw it/them away. It seems to be an acceptable act in our society to “throw-away” our companion animals. Reasons for abandonment we hear are: “The cat scratches us when we play”, “The cat howls and meows all the time”, “The cat pees outside of the litter box”, “Our cat is ruining our furniture, he is clawing it to peace’s”, “I am pregnant, it is not safe for me to have a cat anymore”... These are just a few excuses humans use for getting rid of their 4 legged family member. All of the above behaviors can be addressed and averted. Remember, just as our children need to be trained, so do our pets. Yes, a cat CAN be trained.
Bless Their Hearts Kitty Haven depends on monetary donations and volunteers to help keep operations ongoing. We also use the money from the adoption fees and fund-raising activities.
